Real-Debrid + Plex

Provider, not product model

Real-Debrid is an acquisition adapter behind Omakase’s identity, inventory, subtitle, playback, and Plex boundaries. Provider states such as cached or downloaded do not make a title ready by themselves.

Use this mode only with an authorized private release and an account you control. Keep provider credentials in the secret environment file or encrypted settings, never in source, commands, screenshots, or support bundles.

Candidate flow

For each monitored title, Omakase:

1. resolves the exact AniList identity and season;
2. searches the built-in source and any owner-enabled catalogs;
3. ranks candidate releases across titles and aliases;
4. skips recently provider-rejected hashes so later checks can search deeper;
5. adopts a compatible existing provider asset by stable hash when possible;
6. validates inventory, media, subtitles, and representative playback;
7. stops once a complete verified release satisfies the title;
8. records why every attempted release was accepted, rejected, skipped, or exhausted.

A failed candidate does not end the run. A complete higher-ranked candidate prevents unnecessary lower-ranked provider work.

Existing assets

Stable content identity lets Omakase reuse a compatible existing provider asset instead of creating a duplicate. Adoption still requires exact title, season, episode, media, and subtitle verification.

Ordinary synchronization does not delete provider downloads. Destructive provider actions are outside the normal acquisition path and require separate proof.

Optional expanded catalogs

Prowlarr can add owner-enabled public or private sources without adding source-specific code to Omakase. Configure its address, API key, optional source IDs, and categories in the private Omakase settings.

Omakase sends the key only to the configured Prowlarr endpoint, records a secret-free source receipt, merges duplicate results, and applies the same verification rules. Prowlarr expands configured search; it is not an Internet-wide completeness guarantee.

Plex publication

Verified assets are exposed through the provider-backed storage adapter and the deterministic Plex library layout. Publication is atomic, scans are scoped to changed series, and retained generations provide rollback.

If an episode remains unavailable or provider-rejected after the bounded search, Omakase reports the missing episode count and leaves automatic checks active for airing titles.
