Before you begin

Create your private account using Quickstart. You can search anime titles through the public AniList catalog without a saved integration or Plex; internet access is required. Movie and TV catalog search is separate and requires Seerr. Anime AI recommendations need your own configured AI connection; optional AniList writes need an explicit OAuth connection.

Find and save a title

1. Use Search for a specific anime, or For You for recommendation browsing.
2. Review the exact title and season. Sequels, split cours and similarly named shows can represent different identities.
3. Save the title to your plan or watchlist. Add the personal context you want your recommendations to consider.
4. Record progress and status when you watch. Availability or a successful media check does not create watch history.

Expected result: your plan and personal tracking are saved separately from media availability. Unknown history means unknown, not definitely unwatched.

Add optional connections

Connect AniList for explicit planning/completion/score actions. Review the remote action result: a saved local change does not prove AniList received it. MyAnimeList writes are not enabled.

For managed media, an administrator configures storage, release sources and the acquisition adapter. Review identity and season before intake. Omakase checks inventory, readable files, subtitles and Plex mapping; failed candidates can be skipped while eligible alternatives continue. When sources are exhausted, missing episodes stay missing.
