Remove media deliberately
Find the removal action, review its destinations, and understand queued, partial and completed results.
Before you begin
This guide covers managed anime in the private preview. Sign in to your own account and confirm the exact title and season. Removing media is separate from marking a title completed or changing a rating. Your watch history, episode progress and ratings are kept; AniList is unchanged.
Open the removal review
- Open the managed anime's detail page.
- Find Library actions and choose Remove…. If a removal is already open, choose View removal status instead.
- Review the title, season, destinations and retained-item counts. The page names Plex and, when eligible, Real-Debrid. Shared titles can block removal; source media that is adopted, shared or unsupported is kept.
- To proceed, type the displayed title exactly. Choose Remove from Plex or Remove from Plex and Real-Debrid, matching the button shown. Cancel returns to the title without starting removal.
- Read the resulting status. A queued request is not completed deletion.
Automatic monitoring stops when removal starts. The title leaves the managed Plex library after a sync. Source downloads stay in place until Plex confirms removal; only eligible Omakase-owned Real-Debrid items can then be deleted. That provider deletion cannot be undone.
Read the outcome
- Queued · waiting for Plex: monitoring has stopped and the next library sync must confirm removal. Keep source downloads in place.
- In progress · removed from Plex: Plex removal has finished; any eligible source cleanup is next. Shared and adopted items remain protected.
- Partially completed / Cleanup failed: read the counts showing what was removed and what remains. The existing scheduler retries unfinished source items automatically; it does not need another removal request.
- Completed: the page reports the finished destinations and any retained source items. Your personal tracking remains saved.
Expected result: the status tells you what finished, what remains and what was kept. Reopen View removal status from the title to follow progress. If completion-triggered Plex removal is blocked and the title offers Retry removal from Plex, review its error before using that specific action. Do not broaden the scope or manually delete provider media to work around a blocked result.
Operator details: why source cleanup waits
The managed library excludes the title first. A later live curator receipt must confirm it is absent before provider cleanup is permitted. Eligible Real-Debrid items must be Omakase-created, monitor-owned and unshared. Retained generations and per-item results prevent an unfinished retry from blindly repeating completed deletions. Keep the receipt and contact the operator when the reported boundary cannot complete.
