TV shows

Browse series, seasons and episodes, inspect exact Plex inventory, and record personal TV progress.

Before you begin

TV catalog search requires a configured Seerr connection and its backend; it is unavailable in a zero-integration app-only installation. Connect Plex for library inventory and use one unique library named TV Shows. Save and test your connections in Settings. General TV does not write to AniList.

Browse a series

  1. Open TV Shows; on a phone, open Browse first. Search also has a TV Shows category.
  2. Open a series and select its season.
  3. Load or refresh the catalog listing to see available episode information.
  4. Record personal episode progress, series status and ratings independently.

Only aired episodes with known dates can be manually marked watched. Saving a series status does not mark every episode watched.

Check existing Plex media

Use the explicit TV collection sync, then open the show and choose Check in Plex. Omakase reads exact matched season/episode inventory and recorded watch flags. Manual episode corrections take priority over imported flags.

Expected result: In Plex describes exact library inventory. It is not a byte-verified Ready badge. Open in Plex uses the matched series identity; test playback in the actual client. Recheck after server or content changes. Incomplete or ambiguous identity fails visibly instead of guessing from a title string.

Additions remain operator-led

Automated TV acquisition is not supported. The current backend cannot safely translate a selected-season request into its whole-series interface. Preserve existing TV media and use your administrator's established workflow for additions.

Plex presence, catalog availability, ratings and sync timestamps do not create watch dates. See History & ratings for record provenance and Troubleshooting for connection or inventory errors.
